Get ready for the fun, online, bracket-style voting competition for the Cutest Canine in Maine, beginning the second week of March, 2025. Every day that week the bracket will shrink, until by the end of the week we will know who is the ULTI-MUTT pup in Maine!
HOW IT WORKS:
First, beginning in February, you and your pooch will come to the studio for a fun-filled pet portrait session donated by Tricia Toms Studio. The $125 fee per dog for this experience is donated in full to the Falmouth Land Trust.
Next, two weeks later you return to the studio for your multi-media image reveal session. Special products and bundles unique to Pooch Playoffs will be available for purchase at that time. You will also receive your sWAG bag of goodies donated by local businesses: gift cards; pooch toys and treats; coupons for special treats (human and canine); and a unique, custom gift featuring your fur-baby's image for you to keep.
Then, during the second week of March, contestants go head-to-head in an online, bracket-style, voting competition. Each day, the bracket shrinks until we crown the Ulti-MUTT pooch in Maine! To see the contestants from 2024, please scroll to the bottom of the page.

“The Falmouth Land Trust is conserving the natural places that we depend upon to maintain our quality of place. FLT properties protect habitat, promote fresh water and clean the air. We conserve our working forests, maintain our access to trails and restore agriculture to farmlands – all the while ensuring a sense of connection to the local landscape and its history. The benefits of this work extend beyond the boundaries of our conserved lands and make Falmouth a wonderful place to live.”
— Mila Plavsic, Executive Director, Falmouth Land Trust
"As a dog owner in Falmouth, I know first-hand how much we love and use our local Land Trust Lands. For years, I've enjoyed walking my fur-babies in Pine Grove Park, Falmouth Nature Preserve, McCrann Preserve, Woods Road Community Forest, and many more. When dreaming up a way to support this noble cause through my business, Pooch Playoffs was born. As dog owners who benefit mightily from the efforts of FLT, it is our duty to give back. In the end, we will all benefit in the years to come."
