After a long hiatus, and compliments of Covid, I photographed my first wedding in years on May 7th of this year.
I first met Elizabeth and Pat at Lib's Coffee Shop in Kittery Foreside, Maine. It turned out he's an entrepreneur, and she's a science teacher. They met the old-fashioned way - in person. Our long and friendly chat sought to find common ground between us. When choosing your wedding vendors it helps to work with someone you like and trust. For myself, I want to make sure I can meet the creative needs of my clients. If how I see is now what they want, then it's not a good fit.
Originally, they had planned the full shebang at Three Chimney's Inn in Exeter, NH. Enter Covid, stage left. The day was originally pushed back by one year, then two. In the interim, Elizabeth and Pat had a small wedding ceremony, and then started their family.
So, this May, we all gathered at the Three Chimney's Inn for a formal reception to celebrate! Elizabeth and Pat wore their wedding gown and suit. Friends and family joined together in their Sunday best, for a beautiful outdoor cocktail hour, followed by indoor sit-down reception - the way they always wanted it. The weather was perfect, and the joy unconfined.
